Fast Company Magazine – May, 2011

In May 2011, the Magic City Black Expo was selected for Fast Company Magazine’s “United States of Innovation” article, an annual feature highlighting the bold ideas and brilliant urbanites leading the movement to build the cities of America’s future. The story draws attention to one initiative per state, and includes programs and projects that have changed the faces of the respective communities they represent.

Noted for its role as “a nexus of entrepreneurial camaraderie”, the MCBE was the sole initiative selected for the state of Alabama this year!
